Cruise Like a Celebrity
Celebrity Cruises has established new health and safety measures in accordance with guidance from public health authorities, government agencies, and its own team of health and safety experts to provide guests with the peace of mind to fully enjoy their voyage. All Celebrity ships will sail with a vaccinated crew. In the Galapagos, U.S. guests ages 16 and older must be fully vaccinated and, as of August 1, 2021, all U.S. guests ages 12 and older must be fully vaccinated. Daytona Dalliance
American Airlines announced it will add two new seasonal service routes servicing Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB): Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) and Philadelphia (PHL). Both flights will be daily morning service scheduled to begin in December and run through April and offer connections to the many destinations served by American’s Dallas-Fort Worth and Philadelphia hubs. Passengers will be able to select business and economy class seats. American’s new nonstop flights to two additional destinations will further strengthen the airline’s service offerings at DAB, which currently include four daily flights to Charlotte, North Carolina.

Cruise Into Canaveral
MSC Cruises will begin sailing from Port Canaveral for the first time this Winter and offer a year round presence, starting with the modern and glamorous MSC Seaside from November to March, followed by the elegant MSC Divina, starting at the end of March. Mighty Miami
Miramar-based Spirit Airlines is making an even bigger and brighter commitment to the Sunshine State by expanding its reach in South Florida. After initially releasing a proposed schedule in June, today Spirit confirmed plans to start service at Miami International Airport (MIA) and announced that tickets are on sale for 30 convenient, nonstop routes that start this fall. MIA will be Spirit’s third South Florida airport — joining Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach and its seventh airport statewide.
Founded in 1928, MIA now offers more flights to Latin America and the Caribbean than any other U.S. airport, is America’s third-busiest airport for international passengers, boasts a lineup over 100 air carriers and is the top U.S. airport for international freight.

Escape to Broward County
With the recent signing of an official contract, MAG USA announces that, after a competitive process which began in 2019, they have been awarded the opportunity to design, build and operate an Escape Lounge at Broward County’s Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). Escape Lounge FLL, as with all Escape Lounges, will be a common-use lounge meaning that travelers from any airline or status can enjoy the amenities. Orlando Options
After a 15 month hiatus, Emirates has resumed commercial service between Florida’s top destination and Dubai. Emirates’ service to Dubai International Airport is Orlando International Airport’s (MCO) longest long haul route. In 2019, Orlando International Airport welcomed more than 50 million annual passengers making it the busiest airport in the state and the 9th busiest in the U.S. MCO is currently engaged in a $3.8 billion capital Improvement Program to increase capacity and enhance customer convenience.

Take on Tampa Bay
Multiple cruise lines have already reaped the benefits of homeporting their ships at Port Tampa Bay and 2022 will be no different. Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Paradise and Carnival Miracle, Royal Caribbean International’s Brilliance of the Seas and Rhapsody of the Seas, and Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Dawn will all sail out of the city, enabling cruise travelers to explore multiple destinations across the Caribbean and Central America.
Joining these ships is Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Constellation, which will operate 10— and 11-night roundtrips from Tampa beginning November. Following a 14-night transatlantic crossing from Barcelona, Spain, Celebrity Constellation will begin sailing three unique itineraries, including a 10-night Eastern Caribbean escape that calls at San Juan, Puerto Rico; Basseterre, St. Kitts & Nevis; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; and Samana, Dominican Republic. The vessel will also provide 11-night Southern Caribbean voyages with visits to Key West, Florida; Kralendijk, Bonaire; Oranjestad, Aruba; Willemstad, Curacao; and George Town, Grand Cayman. Alternatively, guests can opt for an 11-night ‘Touch Canal’ itinerary that will take them to explore Cozumel, Mexico; Puerto Limon, Costa Rica; the Panama Canal; Colon, Panama; Cartagena, Colombia; and George Town.

Get Spirited Away
The Lee County Port Authority is proud to announce that Spirit Airlines will inaugurate nonstop service between Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers and Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) as of November, 2021.
The destination is quickly becoming more accessible with 14 new direct flight routes to Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers. In addition to Alaska Airlines’ new direct service from West Coast markets Los Angeles (LAX) and Seattle (SEA), airlines including JetBlue, Southwest and United have also announced flights from New York, Cleveland, Boston, Raleigh, Pittsburgh, Orlando, Louisville, Columbus, Indianapolis and Milwaukee. RSW now provides nonstop service to 49 destinations by 11 airlines, with additional flights and destinations to be added as demand increases.

Southwest to Sarasota
Southwest Airlines Co. announced plans to expand its Florida service by adding flights at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) beginning in first quarter of 2021. Take on Tampa
Spirit Airlines will launch nonstop daily flights between Tampa International Airport (TPA) and Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport beginning this fall of 2021. The low cost carrier is the third airline at TPA to offer service to Milwaukee, capitalizing on the recent boom of Midwest visitors jetting to Florida in recent months. The route also gives travelers from the Tampa Bay area another option in visiting the friendly city known for its famous breweries and baseball. Overall, there’s been an explosion of Midwest visitors flocking to the Tampa Bay area beaches and attractions, and airlines have added several new TPA routes to meet this demand.

Swoop to St. Pete
Swoop, Canada’s leading ultra low cost carrier (ULCC) has unveiled plans to add three new U.S. destinations to its network with nonstop flights to St. Pete-Clearwater (PIE), San Diego (SAN), and Orlando Sanford (SFB) beginning this winter of 2021.
